Who told Doug Ford the military isn’t needed in long-term care?

QUEEN’S PARK — On Monday Doug Ford said there is no need to call in the military to provide relief at Roberta Place, or other long-term care homes in crisis.

“I was told we don't need them,” said Ford.

“Who is telling Doug Ford help isn’t needed?” asked long-term care critic Teresa Armstrong. “Experts and frontline workers have been pretty clear that the helping hands of Armed Forces members could ease some of the suffering and offer some support to the exhausted staff.”
